Christmas was a blast this year. On the day after Christmas, we all (minus Adam) got on a flight and went to snowy Kansas City to see family. When we landed, 10 inches at least had already accumulated. Absolutely beautiful! It was so nice to see snow at Christmas again, and I'm glad that Sally got to experience it also.

On Sunday, we gathered with the rest of our family and Sally got to see cousin Victoria again. The girls were born only six days apart, but as you can see, Sally has hit a huge growth spurt. Sally is almost 27 inches long, were as Victoria is a petite 23 inches. The girls had fun together. So did all the adults who watched them gurgle at each other.

We celebrated Christmas with Adam's side of the December 20th and December 23rd.

Poinsettia Sally

Sally, Erin, & Mimi (that's what we've decided to call Sandi) went to Aunt Annies craft show yesterday. To get into the Christmas spirit, Sally wore a poinsettia flower in her hair. She was the hit of the show - all the shoppers and vendors loved her. What's not to love! We then found a vendor who was selling poinsettias, so we decided to take a picture of her among the other flowers. Too cute.

She shopped til she dropped!

4 months old

Sally Jane is 4 months old today! We went to the doctor on Monday and she is 14lbs and 4oz, and 26 inches long. Coos and high pitched squeals are her favorite past time these days. She is also starting to teeth (or drool) now. Adam and I love every minute with her - she's so much fun

Thanksgiving Dinner

Thanksgiving was a success. 23 people came and of course we had way too much food. Adam prepared a 23lb bird and family brought all the fixings. By the end of the night, our bellies were full, as were the trashcans. Munson thought it would be his him time to help himself to whatever was available. We stepped out of the kitchen for a few minutes, and when we came back, I thought we had walked into the Griswold household. The trash bag was ripped open, and plates and food remnants were all over the floor. Bad Munson!

Today on Black Friday, Adam and Erin both went shopping. (Can you believe Adam partook in the madness at Walmart?!) Anyway, when we got back, Munson once again decided to turn the kitchen into the Griswold kitchen. It is not like the dog never eats, he is an overweight chunky monkey! But this new need to bring the garbage out and accessorize the kitchen has got to stop. After the clean up though, we got quite a chuckle out of his shenanigans..

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! Sally has dressed up in her festive outfit. She may have her first taste of mashed potatoes today.

We are hosting Thanksgiving dinner at our house this year, so Adam has not only been tasked with preparing a fantastic turkey, but also to find our driveway. We have so much pine straw that the driveway disappears during this time of year. If you are in the area, you are more than welcome to stop by. At least 22 people will be here tonight, so we'll post some pictures later today (or tomorrow).

Getting all Dolled Up

Sally went to see Caleb Sandle again last week. He is such a cutie that Sally wanted to look just as cute. He is getting big - about 9lbs now. Sally is around 13lbs at 2.5 months. Not bad on a diet of just Mommy milk.

Give us a Touchdown

Well, Georgia isn't doing too hot this year, but we are hopeful. Sally says, "Come on, score a touchdown!"

Sally has a boyfriend!

We've been waiting for the arrival of Caleb Anthony Sandle, and he came into this world on 9/18/09 after a 36 hour journey. (Rachel - you are a strong woman to endure a 36 hour labor!) He's a cutie pie.

Mommy's favorite onesie

Sally is almost too big for this onesie, but Mommy wanted to take some pictures before she out grew it. It says "Does this diaper make my butt look big?" So cute!

We stayed dry

We are happy to report that our house did not flood with the recent abundance of rain in Atlanta. We didn't leave our house for two days, but when we finally saw a clearing, we packed up and went to Grammy & Poppi's for a sleepover. Powder Springs had flooding all around town, and Kennesaw seemed to be safe. On our way over there, we passed Erin's sister-in-law's parents house John & Carolyn Black. We were not sure if they were home, but if they were, they weren't getting out! Their driveway was completely blocked by water.

This picture is normally two lakes. One in the Black's yard, their driveway, and then another lake in their neighbor's yard. Before:
After:
Today, we came home and the water had gone down significantly. Sally, of course, slept through the whole event.

Tea Party for Sally

On Saturday 9/12/09, Sally, Erin, Grammy and Poppi went to a local Tea party in Roswell GA. Grammy made a sign to hang on Sally's stroller asking, "How much do I owe?" Several people in the crowd commented on the sign and even took pictures. A local newspaper photographer came up and took Sally's picture also.
